Dr. Todd Citron, Boeing CTO, visits ANZEN Engineering’s headquarters

The ANZEN Engineering team, led by its CEO, Pablo de la Cruz, had the honor of welcoming Boeing’s Chief Technology Officer to its headquarters in Madrid.

Dr. Todd Citron, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Boeing, visited ANZEN Engineering’s Madrid headquarters, accompanied by Eduardo Carrillo de Albornoz, Boeing Technology Innovation Europe & Brazil Managing Director; Beatriz Ventero, Global Technology Business Development Manager; Anna Clementina Veclani, Managing Director Italy and Southern Europe; and Llorenç Llopart, Manager at Boeing Technology Innovation Europe and Munich Site Leader.

Welcomed by Pablo de la Cruz, CEO of ANZEN, together with members of the company’s technical and business teams, Dr. Citron and the Boeing delegation had the opportunity to witness firsthand how both companies collaborate on strategic projects.

One of them, the ASCEND Project, focused on transforming aerospace design and verification across the entire supply chain through digital technologies. Another example is the joint work supporting safety, reliability, and cybersecurity in the pioneering urban air mobility program of Wisk, a leader in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and the creator of the first fully electric and autonomous passenger air taxi in the United States.

The aerospace industry is undergoing a historic transformation—from sustainable aviation with electric and hybrid propulsion systems to advanced air mobility with eVTOL aircraft, as well as breakthroughs in digitalization, AI, and new certification processes.

In this context, the meeting represented a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, deepen mutual understanding, and further strengthen the collaboration between Boeing and ANZEN, as both companies continue working hand in hand to shape the future of aerospace.
